TAT-Cx43

Technology Description

Cell-penetrating peptides based on the connexin43 sequence (TAT-Cx43) inhibit the oncogenic activity of Src and exert anti-tumour effects in preclinical GBM models. Src is the first oncogene to be described and plays a key role in the development of GBM. TAT-Cx43 exerts anti-tumour effects in samples obtained from patients immediately after surgery (control and TAT-Cx43-treated)

Our work has enabled us to characterise the anti-tumour mechanism of action of TAT-Cx43 at both the molecular and cellular levels.
